2018 - inspiration, goals + tips

A beautiful diary to keep your thoughts in would definitely help

It's the time of the year when everybody starts making lists and creating new goals for the upcoming year. Of course, different people have different traditions, so if you are not from those people with the plans and list - I get it.

But...

With the risk of sounding like your mom, I have to admit that setting goals for the upcoming year did indeed help me organise my life. Writing down your dreams is the first step you need to take for you to achieve what you want. All you need to do is sit down and think about what you want to change in your life. Picture everything clearly in your head and transform the images into words, the words - into a list. It's that simple!

Your list should, of course, be healthy for you in a long term (don't eat anything sweet is not a goal that would bring happiness and health into your life in a long term). Your list should be filled with possible and achievable goals that would test your self control and improve your lifestyle. Taking the example I used above - don't eat anything sweet can be replaced by a way healthier goal - exercise daily.

I personally prefer it when my goals are exact.

Again taking the example from above - exercise daily, not loose weight .

If you are not used to making lists and following them, take it slow. This rule applies for everything - from creating goals to achieving them. Don't jump into big plans and long lists - that's not the way to go. Start off with small goals like read every night before bed and keep going further upto read one book per month.

Aside from goals, a new year brings new experience and a fresh start. What I like to do each year, just days before the start of a new one, is sit somewhere quiet and go through some pictures, a diary or whatever I have, so I can reverse all the moments in my mind, the good and the bad ones. It's a nice little tradition you guys can try, since it really helps you leave the past in the past and start brand new.

I was thinking about the new year coming and I realised I may as well add some tips that helped me trough the tuff years of my life. So, here are some tips I follow ( or at least try to): 1. Try and stay positive - I know it's hard and I know it's not possible to be positive 24/7, but trying to be does indeed make a difference. For me personally, positive people are a great role model for how we should deal with our daily life.A little mini hack here - if you want to be positive, surround yourself with positive people, it really helps:).

2.Work hard - it really is that simple - if you want something, you should work for it. I suggest you give it your best and see what happens. Who knows, maybe it will surprise you what you can achieve with a little bit of effort.

3.Exercise - I have the feeling this topic will need a separate entry. It's just such a huge thing nowadays, you can't really sum up everything in a couple of sentences. It's not about weight and looks. It's about health. Everybody feels better when living healthy. If you want to have energy to achieve your goals, all you have to do is find a sport you like and give it 3 hours of your time every week. Not so hard, is it:)? 4.Leave the fake out - you don't need anything fake in your life. Fake friends are just baggage you carry - they don't help, they slow you down. Let everything fake out of your life, live for the true stuff, there is so much out there that deserves your attention.

5.Second chances - what you need in your life, what everybody needs, is peace. It will be so much easier for you to find if you learn to give second chances. Everything/Everybody deserves a second chance, but few deserve a third.

Well, this are the five tips I am giving you to start 2018 with a smile and some confidence.

Depending on what you want to motivate yourself to do, you can use the whole internet and find whatever inspires you most ( quotes, videos, pictures, stories).

So, that was what I have for you today! Hope I helped, if you have questions or you just want to chat, send me an email, I will be happy to answer! Find my email address here and while you are on it, don't forget to subscribe to keep up with my life (next entry will probably be about my Christmas holiday, trust me, you won't want to miss it ;) ).

Love,

AXD.
